Transparent Porous Thin Films

In this project, entitled “Combinatorial synthesis of mesoporous films with optimised structure and physical properties”, organic templates are used to design the porous film. A combinatorial approach enables us to generate a large number of libraries with many variables in a very short duration of time. After careful screening, a suitable composition is identified and utilised for the development of thin film applications. Different techniques for screening the films, including Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Ellipsometry and Nano Indentation, are used.
