Aysha grew up in Leicester and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Birmingham. She continued her studies by undertaking the Midlands Integrative Biosciences Training Partnership (MIBTP) Doctorate scheme between the University of Warwick, Birmingham and Leicester. Her research focused on using modified oligonucleotides for the control and detection of proteins, small molecules and DNA. She also worked for Science Capital, an event management company, helping to organise science events. Aysha is working in the Bradley Group as a postdoctoral researcher on the ARREST-TB project to help develop sensing technologies for TB and AMR.
In her spare time Aysha likes finding new places to eat, walking, travelling and socialising.
